nowhere near close? .15 of a second in the 1/8 is nowhere near close? i went to work today and got my other slips , best so far is a 8.8252 @ 80.49mph with a 2.0043 60ft. That was 3rd time to the track in the car and the track wasn't that great because the track was cold...... i guess .15 of a second means my LT1 can't get out of it's own way

ORIGINAL: MACn89blckstng ^^^^ he speaks the thruth, I dont hate on Camaros, I just think Mustangs, especially 03/04 Cobras, make more sense and respond to mods alot better than the ls1. I'm sure some can (and will try to) prove me wrong. My one buddy has a 35th Anniversary SS with H/C/I and only put 420 to the wheels. Where my other friend has an 04 Cobra with a Cold Air, a pulley, exhaust, and Im pretty sure a mild tune and spanked the Camaro. Some of you need to be a little more open minded, I cant stand the ever going Camaro/Mustang battle, besides, at least the Mustang is still being built.......... Im gonna get heat for that one. this whole argument is bogus the cobra isnt the SS's counterpart incase anybody forgot V6 maro vrs V6 stang winner = maro SS vrs mustang GT winner = maro cobra vrs vette winner = vette

and my car is 100% bone stock except it has BF Goodrich g-sport tire in OE size that is the only slip i have here..the rest are @ work i have gone a best of a 8.80 @ 77mph at the same trak but with a little better track conditions as i stated that was the only slip i had at home, the rest were at work. i didn't remember the exact numbers so i didn't post them. then i went and got the slips so i could post the exact numbers. yes the LS1 would put more space between me in the 1/4, but you stated a LT1 couldn't get out of it's own way..... .15 seconds can be made up with driver difference. on a real good day with great track conditions i would put money down that i could get a 8.6 out of my car. and from what i have seen on here from the other LS1 guys , the LS1 auto is better for drag than the 6 spd cars
