Well my uisual dd is my 95 4runner, I didn't care about upgrading anything but the system in it. At one time I was hitting 163's on the meter. If you know what that means. Had 6 12' subs, with 3 1100 watt amps, 2 capacitators, and the avic-n1 headunit. Very, very, very, very tight cd player. Had a few things dynamated. (sound deadining).

wow..163 is very impressive...the system in my DD hit like 138 in my buddy's car...but i have it set up to last, not blow the windows out, but it will shake some windows with 2 12s, and a big ass amp...

Its just not worth street racing. There are strips everywhere - some IHRA sanctioned, some non-, where you can get by without the roll cages and so forth. And you WILL end up in jail if you street race. I learned this the easy way (watching other people get hauled off to jail). Just lucky though, and I cut it out 25 years ago. More important I taught my kids, right - particularly my youngest, who races the Camaro: can you imagine a 24 year old with a 700 RWHP Camaro that has no tickets, EVER?

Got pulled over riday night doing 95 in a 45. I was racing a 03 GT, got him in second gear, then I saw the lights. I slowed down, pulled into the nearest parking lot , and the sheriff pulled me over, he let me off with a warning, because he goes to church with me. Man that was a close call.

I've gotten pulled for going like 70 in a 50, and my latest was like 49 in a 25. My last ticket sucked. I decided to fight it in court to get the $140 fine reduced, and maybe a point or so knocked off....the judge knocked my ticket down to 122.50, and charged me 27.50 in court costs.

Wow, when I got pulled over for running a stop sig, I got my ticket, went to court, and they made me pay $20 for a defensive driving program. That's all I had too do.

You have a s/c car. Not exactly low profile.
