Its Come time to sell my project. Up for sale is a 1987 chevy camaro 350v8 , built in Norwood Ohio. started life as a plane jane, bare bones 2.8 v6 base coupe, no power options, no ac, only luxory was the rear window defogger and the spoiler mounted 3rd brake light. I began to modify the car to look like a z28, replaced both front and back bumpers and added the front ground effects, i have the side peices just never put them on, the stock 14" rally wheels have been replaced with 15" alumium z28 mag wheels. Includded with the car are not only a Iroc Z hood, but also a custom built 3inch cowl hood. The 2.8 fuel injection was yanked and replace with a small block 5.7 350 v8 and a 4 barrel carb. the stock guage cluster was replaced with a z28 145mph guage cluster, and the steering wheel with the 3 spoke iroc wheel. the nicest thing about this car is its emissions status. since it was a v6 auto car it did not come with a smog pump, i have papers from a local chevy dealer to verify this and you should easily be able to get a letter directly from chevy. ----Details.--- first off the car, the entire front end has been replaced with a z28 front end, as well as the rear bumper. the side ground effect have yet to be put on. when i replaced the wheels in december i also threw on a new set of BF goodrich Radial T/As 225/60R/15's. the hood latch was broke so it was replaced with hood pins, a second set is includded with. Currently on the car is a 3inch cowl hood that just needs the body work finished on it. The front rotors and pads were replaced less than 600 miles ago. The stock guage cluster was a 85mph cluster and no tac with dummy lights, the new cluster is 145mph, full tac, all warning lights, except the temp doesnt work, the is a after market one mounted on the side. the odometer also does not work but the title reads milage exempt. the head unit is a very nice after market unit, but i do not know what brand, it was in the car when i bought it the front speakers are pioneers and the back are sony explodes. the rear end is a non posi 3.42. ---The engine--- The engine is a 5.7(350) small block v8, pulled from a low miles mid 80's 3500 series pickup, i left it stock because it was already built for torque. its a 4bolt main. sitting on top is a freshly rebuilt 1972 quadrajet 4bbl carb. the only thing i would do to this engine is replace the intake, since the car is mostly emmissions exempt, i would remove the stock intake because is has the emissions junk on it. when the engine was put in, i put on a new fuel pump, new starter, new spark plug wires and new spark plugs. , new dist module. new 14inch air cleaner. new dist hold down, new water neck, redone weiand valve covers, with a new chevy oil fill cap and breather in each with new cork gaskets. oil pan seal was replaced. we have the pan off and the engine opened up and the inside is beautiful, no pitting or scoring, still the beautiful silver metal, the crank is so clean you can still see all the machine marks on it. the 2.8 was torn out 3 weeks ago and the 350 and tranny were put in, the engine will run in the car, but it is not driveable as of right now. here is what is needed to get the car back on the road. the wiring in the engine bay needs to be completed, which is just the guages need wired up and the wire that runs to the distributor is currently running from the starter not the harness you can drive like this no problem but i would wire it into the harness if it were me., the harness also needs thinned out from all the sensors that the v6 had, but this isnt needed to get it on the road. the other possible problem is the transmission. i was told the tranny was good when i bought it, but never checked it, it might be good is might not be, i do not know, i do know that it isnt frozen up as u could shift i
