Im going to be replacing the distributor on my car so i was wondering what the ideal timing to set the car back at is performance wise. I have a 90 irocz with a 350 tpi and auto tranny. thanks again.

It is always recommended by the manufacturer to set timing according to the "catalyst" sticker found under hood.

rule of thumb put the distributor back where you got it from. mark where the rotor under the cap is before you pull it. most gm is 10 degrees advanced for timing.
