alright guys im looking for a muffler, for now its somewhat stock style exhaust, im running block huggers with a 1 5/8 primary that run into 2 1/2 inch collectors, which will run into a y-pipe and then cat, back to the mufflers and out dual pipes like stock. the car is a 87, 350sbc, 4bbl quadrajet, nothing too special done to it, just a play toy for the weekends(have a 455 trans am in the works, so this one is just built for a little torque and not much more). so im looking for a nice muffler for it, i want something that has a nice loud rumble too it, but is still bearable, i want it to have good sound levels inside as well as outside. alot of people have been telling me flowmaster super 40's and 44's. im thinking the 40's just cause i have yet to hear a 44, any other choices from anyone? or sound clips if u can. im not all that interested in running duals on the car thou.

i think the 80 series is meant to be quiet. the 40 is louder. i like my choice for muffler the best (ok, the lack thereof)

i put on a 40 series. Same sound as the 80, only louder. BUT ahead of that i have a 350 with hooker headers, highflow cat, and 3 inch pipeing... so it sounds great to me

im not sure, i had a shop doing it, but i was watching him do what i could. i was helping cause i was tired of waiting for his help to show up... i BELIEVE, that hes just got it attached to the pipe commin off the cat back behind the gas tank. they mounted it parallel to the tank, then attached the two remaining pipes with tips on them, ill try and take a pic tomorrow and put it on here...
