First off turbos are not free power. They just restrict the exhaust to lose their power versus a supercharger losing it through the belt system. Second Turbos will tend to cause faster break down of the engine oil because engine oil is used to lubricate and cool the turbo. Most turbo manufacturers require you to use full-synthetic, and even if you already use full synthetic the added heat and friction from the turbo will necessitate changing the oil more frequently. Superchargers in general will use a seperate oil source so they will not effect the engine oils life. Roots and Twin-screw type superchargers will build boost from just off idle, but produce it in a very linear manner avoiding the sudden onset of boost of a turbo or a centrifugal supercharger.

In short depending on what you would like to accomplish with your setup there are positives and negatives of both. A Roots or Twin-Screw supercharger will give you a linear boost level from idle to redline. A turbos and centrifugal chargers are usually capable of producing higher HP number top end, but will lack severely on the low end to get them. So if you want a steady linear boos try to find a twin-screw or roots type supercharger. I have not seen one for your SS, but there might be one out there. If you want the high numbers up top and are willing to sacrifice the low end to get it then by all means go with the turbo or centrifugal supercharger.
