dry kit's also inject nitrous into the fuel system (just to clarify) I was told a dry kit would be easier to install

I'm sure there is not a great difference between the two.... I was TOLD that a wet kit would be a little safer, just going of what i've heard

ORIGINAL: badinfluenceRS dry kit's also inject nitrous into the fuel system (just to clarify) I was told a dry kit would be easier to install Really, I've installed and fiddled with dozens of dry kits and never seen one that does anything, much less "injects" NOS or anything else into the fuel system. A dry kit injects the NOS gas into the incoming air somewhere upstream of the MAF so that the NOS, mixed with the incoming air, is measured by the MAF, and the additional mass is interpreted as more air, and thus results in the ECM injecting additional fuel. It works well when you are trying to add no more than about 33% additional power from the NOS, after than injection spray duration and other factors make it best to go to a wet kit, which squirts fuel into the intake manifold near the ports while also shooting NOS into the intake manifold. Dry kits are a big advantage because: a) they are cheaper and easier to install, you don't have to do a thing to the fuel system - just leave it alone: fewer parts to install, less time to install. b) they are safer: the additional fuel lines, pumps and fuel injectors of a wet system often leak and start fires c) they are easier to tune: wet kits can take 2 to 3 times the dyno time to get perfect A/F ratio and no ECM back-off ocsillations d) they are easier to hide: a lot of street racers hide the system so they can claim they have no NOS and even open the hood to prove it. I've done it myself.
