The brakes on our 1985 camaro work, well minimistically. They will stop the car but the pedal only does anything the last 1/4 of the way down.  The brake pads are fine, almost new. I bled the system REALLY good. This helped about 5%. Still not enough. The vaccume directly from the engine appears to be good. The handbrake does next to nothing as well, and I fiddled around with it today to no avail.
Review from above
-limp, mushy pedal
-good pads
-bled the system
-dot 3 brke fluid
-good vaccume
-handbrake is only good as a cupholder

My hunches are (no order of importance)
-Bad vaccume assist
-Still an air bubble in the line?
-master cylnder something
-some adjustment I dont know about
-something broken in the line somewhere
-clogged line
-heard about some racheting self adjustment deal for drum brakes, but I have 4 wheel discs, so ididnt do anything.
-Or finally that is how all of your pedals are and I'm just trying to fix something that eint broke.

Anyone good with brakes with hints out there?
Any good ideas?
and sweet mechanics?

(oh yeah, pictures would be nice if you are going tell me how to do something)

Make sure the master cylinder is OK, they act like that when there is an internal leak. Also check the flexible brake lines going to the wheels while under pressure for thrombosis or aneurysms.
