So the wife is driving home one day and thepassenger side wiper pops loose. She continued on and scratched the hell out of the windshield.  Anybody here ever try the glass polishing compounds from Eastwood Company or an equivilent? Or any advice for polishing this out would be greatly appreciated. The car looks great for a 95, but the scratch is just hideous. Thanks in advance

You could always try the old standby, jeweler's rouge and a soft buffing wheel.

HI GREGW IF THOSE SRATCHES ARE DEEP ENOUGH TO FEEL WITH YOUR FINGER NAIL  YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE
TO REMOVE THEM SMALL LITE SRCATCHES CAN BE REMOVED WITH JEWELER ROUGE AND EVEN TOOTHPASTE
BUT ONCE THEY ARE DEEP THERE IN FOR GOOD IF YOU DO BUFF THEM THERE IS A POSSIBLTY OF DISTORTION
REPLACEMENT IS THE ONLY WAY
THANKS

Thanks for the advice guys.  The scratches arent that deep, I'll try the rouge and the wheel and let everyone know how it turns out. Maybe even a before and after pic if it goes well.

HI CPLTHOMAS THE BEST I CAN OFFER YOU IS TO CHECK WITH A JEWERLY STORE IF THEY DO REPAIRS
THEY WILL HAVE ROUGE AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BUY SOME OF THE POWER IF YOU HAVE NOT USED
ROUGE BEFORE YOU NEED TO MAKE A PASTE OF THE ROUGE  THEN APPLY TO THE SCRATCH AND BUFF AT
A SLOW SPEED (EITHER BY HAND OR WITH A DRILL AND A SMALL BUFFING PAD) THIS WILL TAKE TIME TO DO
AND YOU WILL NEED TO APPLY SEVERAL TIMES I HOPE THIS IS OF HELP TO YOU
THANKS FOR NOW
