wow, Speak of the devel. I am also Doing the same thing to my IrocZ!!! I've just ripped out all the baige interior/carpet/seats and Looking into Painting them black and getting new seats. re-aplostiering the back buckets tho. Should turn out great!

Also Redoing the floor, some spots i found when i was gutting the thing out had a few bad spots so im cutting them out and welding in some better quality stuff :)

by the way, how do you take off the Middle consol??

Cool deal guys, yeah its a great easy thing to do over a weekend or something..... Im just wating for my new Rug, (Black) and also a new headliner (switching it to black vinyl, and also ordered 2 new front seats from Ebay (simulated leather/carbon lol). Looks great hough man nice job!!

i would still use the m22 stuff. we put it on out tint counters and the stuff is still on there.....

Yea i was gonna try that stuff, but i couldnt find it and i liked the Krylon so much , it went on really nice and smooth and dried in like 10 minutes in the sun so its nice and baked on ,

well, I don't really like much when someone says they are going to replace an interior headliner or piece  with vinyl...  guess I have seen too many cheap rice vinyl jobs on imports (if it is a couple years old vinyl even smells weird).

I would suggest using some black headliner cloth (the one that comes already with the foam backing), or possibly even black suede leather to give it a more upscale look.

im with 1985RS on the duplicolor vinyl paint. me and my buddy just did his entire 95 firebird interior in semi gloss black it makes it shine but not too much. we tried the trim paint but it just chips right off

go to youre local ppg dealer, they sell a paint for interior, and if you do not sand it the paint will chip off, and then you got a mess.

WOW guys thanks for all the info, I will paint my whole interior in my 1980 all black right now its dark blue, but if I paint her all black she will look awesome.  It will also save me a bunch on buying new interior pieces, hey could ya spray the headliner too? Just to have it all black at one time?  I know I should replace it all but hell if I can have my car looking great quickly thats great,  I can always update the interior one at a time when I have the time/money to do so.
